Model-based design is a mathematical methodology with graphic support used to solve problems related to the design of complex control systems. It is applied in many areas: the automotive, aerospace industry, and in particular in the design of embedded software and consists in the formalized application of modeling to support the entire product development process: formalization of requirements, system design, analysis , verification and validation of the integrated system. The model-based design allows a reduction of time and costs thanks to the reduction of the planning times, avoids the re-design, and is optimized and validated for the design and development of mechanical, hydraulic and embedded control systems.
